Golf summer and rain; what is the most important?

It is Tuesday July 5th 2022. The golf season is in full spring everywhere. All local courses are open except when they are not. The rain this year has been overwhelming. Roanoke in Pembroke is a course I play once a week with a friend for Ladies night. A couple of Mondays have been cancelled due to the wet conditions. Several days have been cancelled. About three weeks ago I played in wet conditions. We struggled and had high scores. However I still got a participation prize for attending the D flight! My participation skills are being recognised as i got another participation prize for attending this week. My score is slowly going down so I may eventually get a prize for winning a flight.. My priorities are always to participate as it is the only way I get my husband’s attention during golf season! ( we have a family membership at Petawawa Golf Club and All Ranks service club) My husband Bruce Hanna, is one of the super senior members who plays up to 9 times a week.

so my rant ends with the follow up: Roanoke Monday July 4th was great. Weather ideal for playing golf. Tuesday July 5th no golf at Petawawa Golf club for Bruce due to rain. However back to normal routine on Wednesday Bruce played in the morning and at 5pm is back for the evening men’s night.. there are serious golf events happening this weekend so guess where he will be:

Thank you to my friends Esther Gaudet and Colette Taylor and Diane Milbury for playing with me.
